Another great days racing. Although, I can't speak for everyone - Zipper who had some horrible luck.

Myall United 4 Benjamin Rovers 2 - Could have been closer if the rovers didn't bottle/bobble that penalty! Wink  Laughing

Zipper FC 1 Benjamin Rovers 5 - A terribly unluck day with ZFC's key player out for most of the day with injury and it's replacement pulling too many tricks. However, bandaged up and ready to go, a return of the BocoJunior4 was hailed by a triumph in the final.

Footnote: Delusions have not set themselves yet, Looking at previous FLT's (And the final!) Mr Myall was driving quite a bit slower and I know he left a lot back. Interference and driving to what was was required played a big part.

Question How to get another 1.5 seconds off each lap, without sending the car into a grip roll? Or losing time from drifting everywhere. Question

Agreed, a good day of racing toy cars Smile

Ben H drove very well, very much deserved his wins, I think he made less mistakes all day then I made in one race Shocked Next time I won't "gift" you a win by swapping cars mid meeting Benny Boy Wink

Good to see Matt win yet again with the X-6, thats 2 in a row now, have to wonder how many more X-6s will pop up in the coming months, certinly seems to be the 2wd to have this year Cool

I was in the process of editing whilst you were typing! Confused Thank you for the kind words John. Everything felt good today, a lot to do with some words from Jim, and the suggestions from both AndyE and your good self.

John, if you do struggle with interference again, you can always borrow the ZX!? I really won't mind Laughing

When Matt get's his set up and tweaks just how he wants them (and stops driving at the Marshalls) I dread to think how quick it's going to be. But at least it will open up the Market for a Botch2000 Laughing

My bad luck was back with a vengeance!  Turnbuckles popping off, tyres ungluing themselves, ball studs coming out, drive shafts coming out... you name it, it happens to me.

I'm sorry to anyone who I may have been short with, but I was just soooo pissed off with my luck again.

When it goes well, this is a great hobby to be in, but when things go wrong it is one of the worst.  I can't believe how much the frustration of it all kills me!

Anyway... enough of my excusses for getting destroyed by that orange S4!  Well done Ben H, who drove superbly all day!  I'll get you next time!  Laughing

Not having any sleep since Saturday morning didn't help either Sad  got to work last night, felt like crap, turned round and took the rest of the night off Rolling Eyes

I think it would've been really hard to knock much time off of a lap yesterday, the track didn't seem to like it when you tried to push hard, like I did the second time you won, crap start, had to push to catch up, car fell over, leaving me further behind needing to push harder still, car fell over more, leaving me to decide second place was better then fixing the car Confused

Its been quite dry for the last couple of weeks, reckon the track has broken up a bit since we last used it, even the 2wds didn't look like they were handeling the bumps as good as they normaly would.

I did say to you a month or so back that there isn't any reason at all, that you couldn't win a Championship this year, or next Smile

'Bugger!' - I think that adequately sums up my feelings on yesterday's meeting. And with all this talk of Matt and the X-6 I'm beginning to feel like Pete Brady......Pete who? Sad  Laughing
Anyway, apart from my misfortunes, it was another great days racing,
and my hero of the day, without doubt,  has to be Ben H- a superb performance ol' chap! Very Happy
Roll on July 13th -and with it, hopefully, a better turn-out.

I did mean to ask, when saw you Standing next to the Rostrum rather than on it Confused  What happened? Was it anything to do with Juddy when I spotted him tinkering whilst your back was turned? Laughing

I will liken it to my golf swing. In my head, i'm Tiger Woods. On the course, i'm in the woods. Different hobby, same result Laughing
