RACING 2009

All racing at LBC is proper lap racing, hence our club motto 'Tempus non Sequitur' which simply means 'time is not important'!
All qualifying races are of 6 or 7 laps duration (approx. 3 and a half mins.) and Finals are 8 to 10 laps.
Each driver has 6 qualifying races and a Final.
Points are awarded as follows: 1st- 5 points; 2nd- 4; 3rd- 3; 4th- 2; 5th- 1; 6th or failure to finish- 0. Points will be awarded (where applicable) if a driver has entered his/her last lap.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP ROUNDS

A minimum of 12 drivers will be required for a Championship (or Trophy) Meeting to proceed. In the event of 11 or less booking-in, then the intended meeting will be run at the next available "reserved" date.

CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP (2WD & 4WD)

2WD & 4WD will race separately.
Points scored during the Qualifying races (Class Championship) at Club Championship Rounds count towards the 2WD or 4WD Championship (depending on what car the individual driver is using), and the driver who accumulates the most points in each class (2WD/4WD) will be declared Champion of that particular class. 10 BEST SCORES FROM 15 TO COUNT.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

Points scored during Qualifying will also determine what Final and Grid Position a driver will take for the 'Club Championship'
The Top Six 2WD scorers will compete the 2WD 'A' Final, the Top Six
4WD scorers will compete the 4WD 'A' Final. The remaining competitors will run in mixed finals.
Points scored in these finals only count toward the 'Club Championship', and are as follows:
2WD 'A' FINAL: 1st- 30 pts; 2nd- 25; 3rd- 22; 4th- 20; 5th- 19; 6th- 18.
4WD 'A' FINAL: 1st- 30 pts; 2nd- 25; 3rd- 22; 4th- 20; 5th- 19; 6th- 18.
'B' FINAL 1st- 15; 2nd- 13, 3rd- 12; 4th- 11; 5th- 10; 6th- 9.
'C' FINAL 1st-7; 2nd- 5; 3rd- 4; 4th- 3; 5th- 2; 6th- 1.

At the end of the season, the driver who accumulates the most points from the 'Club Championship' Rounds will be declared 'CLUB CHAMPION'.
10 BEST SCORES FROM 15 TO COUNT

ALL OTHER MEETINGS
For all other meetings, the Race Format will be explained at the "Driver's Briefing" on the day.

THE TRACK

The track is designed to encourage fast, furious and close racing- not too many obstacles, and the lay-out is changed every month. We usually run two weeks in a clockwise direction, and two weeks anti-clockwise, and then it's changed- so drivers don't get too used to it!
The length may vary, but a 7 lap race is normally between 3 - 3 and half mins, depending, of course, on your ability; and with races of this duration, dumping shouldn't be a problem unless you're over geared!
