OK, having spoken to Ben H briefly yesterday here is a shot of the new Frazer Nash Namir electric car that was at Goodwood recently. It is due to go into limited production at the end of the year.
Best thing about it is that it is powered by a 110 cell LiPo battery!!!
Oh, and it also has a 814cc endothermic rotary engine acting as a generator to top the batteries up - but you still need to plug it in to charge it. Not sure if my Trakpower charger is powerful enough though!!
0-60 in 3.5 secs and top speed of 187mph, all in near total silence.

Nice to see you got a sneak "under the shell" snap too!!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/27237570@N07/2598078196/in/photostream/
I think it's a brilliant idea. If you travel at 180mph and you have the inconvenience of hitting a pedestrian, they will hear you approaching, to which their body has just enough to time to lose control of it's functions. Not only giving your spanky sports car a bloody great dent but a brown GT stripe.
With this car, approaching like a redbulled ninja in slippers, it's nothing more than a quick pop out the dent and away you go, no car washing required.
