Hello: -

Off to Coastals AGM this weekend (Sunday Lunchtime) to discuss the Worn Rubber Series.

It would be great to get an idea of numbers of all those interested:

Please can you pop your names down.  Wink

Why you ask:  for logistics it will be worth having a cap on entries. That will depend upon likely turn out - at the moment, I am looking at a 25 cap.

Just a quick update: -

We have a permutation for 16 drivers, which works for 15-16 drivers. We also have a 25 Driver sheet, which is the cap. This will work for 21 - 25 drivers.

On booking in for today there were 12 Drivers.  There were another 7 booked in on the day. 19 drivers.  With the other drivers interested in the next round this could put the entries above the 25 cap.

It's strongly recommended to book in early just in case Wink

Looking forward to the next one Wink

This should level the playing field considerably.  2WD's will have a much better day against the 4WD and bonus points will be bountiful  Wink

Forecast perfect.

Having said that - the track of ice took a little while to defrost. Made for some very challenging races.  The last to thaw happened to be the first corner after the straight.  Smack, smack, smack, I need to slow down, smack, ok this time, smack........  Laughing

A moment of utter insanity. In desperation Rolling Eyes to secure one extra point, I barrelled full tilt down the straight in the hope to pass Juddy across the finish line, situated in the middle of an ice patch. Finger on full throttle heading to the icey corner beyond the point of no return, climbed up the back of Juddy's car, hit the ice, slid in backwards and crunch in to the boards.  Tower, Tower support and rear block - DESTROYED.  Lesson learnt, 1 point is not worth £20.00 or bashing someones elses car Embarassed

Some cracking displays from Jim, Steve C, Barry and the impeccable Mr Myall.  Mr Coles was a demon in the 2WD and with a B Final win from Juddy kept the points win from round two the same!

Understandably, there may be a shortfall on numbers for the next round. If there is, there will be heat combining. A minimum of 4 drivers in any race and maximum of 6.

Just to confirm the countback system. If a draw on points, it goes to total points from heats. Wink (Including additional 2WD bonus points!)
Juddy

It was a brave move and so nearly worked!!!

It was another good day for all with lots of people takeing points off each other.

I was well please with winning the B, I thought 3rd at best!!! Green compound gave much more bite in the conditions, logged for next round...

It would be nice to see some more peps down for the next one!!!
