Am looking to get a 2nd hand 4wd to tinker with. Shall it be a TRF 501x or a yokomo bx?
Which is more somersault proof....?

You'll find some of our opinions on a number of 4WD here:

Maybe?

But only if you can get a good deal on it.
Also the front bulkhead has been altered to fit Tamiya 501x Wishbones. I have a mountain of them brand new, and un-dremeled so they will fit directly on if you need any spares. Unlikely as they are pretty much indestructable.

Have you noticed how many Atomic Carbon cars are now/have been for sale on oOple latley? seems everyone is dumping them faster then a red head stepchild!
Personaly, I think the Yok BX is a fantastic car, which is why I have 3 , done me really well for the last 2 years, totally bomb proof, handles well, seems to like the LBC track
Shame that due to the new arrival, the wife says that 3 BXs, might have to become 2 soon

That does seem to be the case. I wonder, is it because the car does not readily take lipos? Maybe when they do it's too much to mess about getting the weight right.? Or maybe, they have heard the stratospheric levels being achieved with an S4 in the East and that to compete they hope a new car will bring them the edge? Maybe

Does that mean that you will be having one for sale soon - If so maybe that should be a strong suggestion for B4 Sloth?

Ha ha, its just a shame it's not mower proof eh . I do agre with youthough that they do seem to be brilliant cars. John, can I ask you where you get your spares from? Cos I've got to admit that I've been having a little bit of troublr finding a couple of bits.

Nooooo - We were only joking. It was a big wind up
ZX5 is the way to go!
Seriously - When dya think you'll have it ready and are you ready for the 4WD class. In some countries it's referred to as "RC Wrestling"

Shame, you could've had one of mine for that, inc a new unpainted body and wing, brand new wheels, tyres and inserts, set up for Lawford, plus its probably a better spec then what you've just bought
Spike, I get my spares from all sorts of places, Model Junction or DMS Racing, if I need a lot of bits ordered, did get some bits from M K Racing, as he was selling stuff off cheap, but I think I've had most of the good bits already or another place I use is www.brockmodels.com , pretty good service, plus they say if its in stock or not on the site

You going to run 4WD instead of 2WD then?

It's ok - I have a Babel fish - this translated is:
Happy Birthday, good choice on the car it's done me proud. Shame I didn't pipe up earlier, I may have been able to do you a deal. I may have some spares you'll need for a half decent price.

Bought it so i have a choice of car..I will only be racing every now and again due to shift work!!!
Cannot wait for buggy..will be along on sunday i imagine, either to say hello or for a couple of laps.
Will need a few spares and both cars setting up...need the anti somersault set up...although i think that may be sloth specific and the fact that i do not feel the need to steer or brake!
Dont mind about being pants. its all fun!
