West Bridgford Indoor Off-Road Championships

It's that time of year, when LBC will be hitting the road and putting our skills to the test indoors.

After successful tours of France, Kent and Newbury we are now planning our next mission!

We have chosen the West Bridgford Indoor Off-Road Championships as our next adventure.  Both Botch and myself have booked in for four of the remaining 5 rounds; 14.11.09, 12.12.09, 20.02.10 & 13.03.10.

The info from their website:

"A six round championship catering for off-road buggies and short course trucks.  Indoors so no need to get wet to enjoy your favourite class of radio controlled model car racing over the winter. Four rounds from the six count towards the final standings.

4 rounds of Qualifying, plus one legged finals for everyone. Five races in total!!

Our Indoor venue is one of biggest carpet tracks in the midlands, with multi surface and purpose made obstacles to challenge even the best off-road drivers. Tuck shop is available for hot drinks and snacks.  Doors Open at 9:30am Racing to start at 11:00am.

Junior Championship in each class.  Juniors have to be under 17 on the 01-01-09

Prices: £5.00 for members, £8.00 non-members per class, per round.  Pre-booking is recommended to ensure yourself a place in your desired class."

It would be good if a few of you could join us and it will be a great place to hone our skills ready for Petit in Jan!

Is anybody else interested in doing any of these rounds?

I think BenH & Zipper are staying over the night before.  I'm looking at driving up on the saturday morning & coming home straight after the racing.

Would be looking at leaving Manningtree at 7am and getting home before 8pm (hopefully). Cool

Reckon I could get 2 other people & their gear in the car (comfortably)...

After looking at the Stotfold website & R1 results, I'm tempted to race there instead now. Confused

Half the distance & loads of top drivers Cool

Only problem is the weather, if it's p!$$ing down I'll give it a miss - but otherwise, I'm there Very Happy

Round 1 at Stotfold was really good, great track, and more top drivers then you could shake a stick at Smile

Although it was a strange feeling to be 2 laps off the pace, but when you watched them, it was awesome.

Make sure you book in soon for round 2, places will go fast!
