PairsWell done to the Steve's today, you both drove sublimely well and avoided the carnage that was present throughout the races with everybody pushing on for the win.
Also well done to the second place team of Zipper and BenH. You both drove very well, maybe next year you will get the hang of team racing i.e. not taking each other out and fighting for the win between you
Finally a big thank you to Mr Wiggles for sponsering the meeting and for the loan of his car to me for the finals.
Cheers
George

Thanks Mr W!!!
Always a highlight of the calendar for me. A light hearted mix of insanity, high quality racing with big mixes of bad racing and both great and terrible team tactics.
Highlights of the day was Jim "Wing Man" Brothertons protection of a hunted Fairweather. Except the hunter, when close to snaring his catch, kept shooting himself in the face!
Giving it the big spuds to BenC before the start of the day only to retire in the first race and have said Mr C tell me how easy it is!
Team Zipper/Botch - "no team orders" racing style that could have so easily ended in tears but was instead just very amusing.
Being amongst Myally and Chester with a lot of nip and tuck driving to get a dose of team tactics. Then to watch Myallys car go into uncatchable overdrive. Twas an awesome drive fella......!
B Final 1st 3 corners.
Finally, SteveC saying to team Brawn-no-brains, "A 1-2 and you boys will win it" before him and SteveB storming a 1-2 themselves and take 1st overall. SteveB looked pleased at the end and deservedly so. Well done lads, stella performances!
Next year Zip!

Well done to the 2 Steves - thoroughly deserved! And it meant that Hubbard didn't win
There was some real RC Karma going on out there! Lesson learnt - don't gloat (yeah right!)
Next year...

Again, big thanks to Mr W, top bloke.
Also many thanks to Jim, lets face it, no Jim, no LBC.
Well done to the Steve's, great driving all day, and at least they stopped Team No Brains winning!
Looks like it'll be at least another year, before a team can be the first team to win back to back Pairs titals, really thought the Chesty one and I had a good chance of it, but car problems let us down at the end I've just ordered some more grub screws for my driveshafts, going to put 2 on each shaft, so those pins shouldn't be falling out again!

That bit, was a lot of fun! But as for the uncatchable overdrive bit, that was nothing , wait till I start pushing it, the old Carlos fanDurango seems bloody fast

No team orders is the way forward! There is nothing more satisfying than beating the Hubbard... even if we are supposed to be working together!
Ben C jinxed me in my first leg of the A... sprinkling cat nip over my car... and I ended up breaking a front wishbone... I'm sure if it wasn't for that myself and botch would have been lifting the winners trophy!
It was a great day... the team event is always such a good 'un. Thanks to Wiggles for sponsoring the event and thanks to Jim for organising.
I enjoyed seeing good old Steve T back at the track... and when he finally got his new car running well... the wheel fell off! I really hope you'll be back racing more often in 2010!
And finally.... a big well done to the two Steve's who drove superbly all day!
See you all Sunday!

It occurs to me I did not thank Ben and John for their help at the pairs.
John lent me a set of wheels and Ben allowed me to use two sets of Li-Po's which made the car a lot easier to use.
I was suprised at the smooth power delivery they gave.
Cheers guys
