October 19: Masters & Members' TrophyEND OF THE SEASON
On a more positive note what a great season! Standards have increased exponentially. And a really good meeting to finish the season on. 10 in a final. It was a little close and personal on the rostrum!
It was great to drive against some of the 2WD lads again. Although it will be nice when they get back to their 2WD's and stay there!!! Steve B!
How close was the top spots. 2 Points in it going into the final from 1st to fourth. Thank fully to a bit of a mixed bag from the Team Eastomy!
Big thanks to Sal and Jim for another quality season and looking forward to next already.
EDIT:
I forgot to mention - Big thanks to Paul for the compressor again!!! And the wheels. - Let me know if you would like the replacements posted out to you? I will be over in Stoke in the next couple or 3 weeks. I could drop them off if that suits?

Being lazy and a laptop that's hanging on every program in a desperate attempt to tell me to clear the hard drive - again! I haven't managed to edit the pics. When I get a moment I shall; some of the sequence ones are quite good/ quite funny at actual size.

Had a frankly terrible meeting with a Diff issue that i only got sorted for the A final.
Still, it was a good meeting and many thanks for all the guys who marshalled for me so I could fix my car and apologies to Sal who I growled at after my diff melted for the fourth time in three meetings.

Brilliant meeting to finish off the season, with anyone of the top 4 going into Masters Final in with a shout. Lots of hard luck stories, in particular poor Steve T with his ongoing diff probs, and lots of good, close racing.
Well done to Andy E who pulled it out the bag when it was needed; to runner-up John (who also ftd'd by 6 seconds!), and Steve B, running his D4 for the first time and proving what a force to be reckoned with next season in whatever class he chooses to go for!
Well Done also to Steve C (also giving his D4 its first outing) for his dominating performance in the Members' Trophy - 7 races, 7 wins!
All in all a good day to be driving a D4 - top 3 in the Masters, and a 1-2 in the Members' Trophy! Next year's top car methinks

What a great meeting to finish the year, especially if you were driving a D4 Never seen so many of the things, and they were all at the top
Big well done to Andy on becoming the Master Well deserved me old team mate, would be wrong for you to finish the year off, without a tital to your name Once I was the Master, now I am the pupil
Well done to SteveC on becoming the best "Member", for some reason, that makes me smile everytime
SteveB where did that speed come from, I know hes quick, but christ he drove well Not sure what hes doing class wise next year, but 4wd will be fun if he and SteveC go that way
Poor old SteveT, really got to feel for him, traveling all that way, for one race.
Big thanks to Sal and Jim for putting on another well run and enjoyable meeting, still say this is the best racing I've ever taken part in
And thanks to Paul for the air line, makes cleaning the cars less of a chore
Roll on next year!
p.s. FTD by 6 seconds, in your face Easty Mwwhahahaha!
Thats going to cost me now

Had a good meeting just seem to get the hang of this racing and its all over.
Well done all the D4 drivers, all going super quick.
Hope to make more of the meetings next year to improve further but enjoying getting round and finishing the races which is better than the start of the year.
Well done Jim and Sal for making it possible for us to race at the club.
I will be taking Dan to Stotfold, Worksop & newbury over the winter to encounter some of the better younger drivers out there so may see some of you around .
Cant wait till next season

All of the above, a very nice way to end a very good season. Everyone I have spoken to has really enjoyed the racing this year, even those who's results were not quite as they wished.
It was a very interesting day too, I don't think anyone escaped without having 1 or 2 issues during the heats, it certainly called for a few tie-breakers! But the prize has to go to SteveT... I was so tempted to pay you numerous visits to wind you up during the day, but I just wasn't in the mood for a punch up on Sunday!
A huge thanks to Jim and Sal, without them we would not have the excuse we all so desperatley need to skip the Sunday morning lies in a cold open stone building... thank you guys! I know everyone really appreciates the effort you both put in to the club.
Thanks again to Wiggy for the use of the compessor, it does make the post-race clean up much easier.
See you all in 2009, happy christmas to one and all!
Andy
P.S. John, you don't poke the sleeping dragon
