Well done Mr Hubbs unlucky Mr East, Bloomin lucky old me.. Sorry for any squeezing that might have occured today  But gotta say i totally enjoyed myself once again. the racing was great.
Was lucky to eventually get one over the imaculate Mr Fairweather. Just a shame it had nothing to do wth club champs 
And sorry for shouting at Kiers. I hope were still freinds.. James (not Duncs)

WARNING: This post contains heavy doses of smug.
The funniest things amongst others was the FTD bullpong that eminated from everyone.
How it started wasn't intentional, I said to Easty, "I really needed that win (to stay close to Zipper who was on fire) and I to top it off got the FTD as well!"
It wasn't until George came up later and said he was coming for my FTD . I said I don't have FTD, who told you that  . Easty he replied  . Laughing, I told George what's happened. Then Zipper, ("Hubbard it was 3 and half Seconds" - Brilliant!!!), before long everyone was in on it.
The truth of the matter was Easty was 15 seconds or so ahead.
Thank you to all those that ad-libbed their way into this deception. Kept it fun.
It was a really good days racing, very enjoyable. The banter was plentiful and very funny. Driving with the 2WD boys was excellent and scary. The fear of the pit abuse was so much, it was a "focus enforcer".
See you next week when the universe once again finds balance and my car falls in half.

It's at times like this you find out who your mates are! lol!
That is actually truly brilliant .
I have to say, I had so much fun yesterday, and there were a few people that need a mention... The normal, Jim, thanks for using your day to run it for us. BenH, drove very well all day and got a well deserved result at the end. Zipper, drove very well too and was just plain unlucky in the finals. Steve C who came so close to the 2nd leg win. Colesie, drove well to get the 'expert class'  . George, for somehow shoe-horning a 4-stroke engine into his X6!
But the highlight of my day was actually while marshalling and watching Juddy through the 1st corner. The car just looked brilliant through there!
Once again, a brilliant way to spend a Sunday, loads of banter (though evidently not all of us were in on all of it! lol), a great atmosphere, nice track, some great overtaking and some great/fair racing. One of the best meetings I have been to all year actually.
Looking forward to Rd5 of the SEN, just wish I could make another meeting between.

Agree with all of the above, a great thoroughly enjoyable meeting! The BJ4 was running like a dream in the early part of the meeting... so well infact it gave me a pounding heart for the two final laps in my first heat, as thanks to Hubbard I found myself ahead of The Horn.
The racing was great all day.... I think we should seriously consider mixing up the classes at club champs like we used to... it was good to race against different faces each heat rather than the same ugly mugs!
Gutted about my performance in the final... but a lack of maintenance and some bald tyres finally crept up on the poor 'vintage' BJ4. I'll get you next week Hubbard!

Great day, just a little late start for me and the pressure was on as i seemed to be on the back foot from there on in!
Great driving Ben and thanks for helping out with Kierans car.
It was so nice to see my two sons race and the rest of you to put up with Kierans corner cutting , ect.
Dan learnt some lessions on preperation that cost him dear
James/ Dunks/ James ??? Kieran dont mind as he takes no notice of anyone accept Mr East that is...

Lee I think you were only a mistake or two away from making it a diffrent result. Next time!
Re mixing classes, it makes sense in alot of ways, but some times you can drive your 2wd great and still come 4th, also I think as 2 wheelers we didn't feel our was class held in the same reguard as the 4wd, we started to get a poor relation complex, where really it should be the other way round:P
It was nice to have some battles with the 4wd's though, Alex and I had a great race in the B final, he tryed to pull a cole trickle on me, and was unlucky to roll on a bump. He'll get me next time I'm sure!
Maybe we should run a few more mixed meetings like the classic, with some crap comedy prizes, as i do feel that at club champs sen meets there is presure and stuff and maybe some fun meets are in order, and get some of that LBC spirt going again!

A smidge of luck and bad luck in the right places can make a big difference. Some new boots on the BJ4 for this weekend I feel and some more close racing!

2WD is easier in only one respect - Overall maintenance. In every other, I believe it's more difficult and I also believe that to be a general consensus. Zipper is a perfect gauge. He and I are probably the closest matched drivers at the club. I am second in the 4WD, Zipper didn't win a 2WD race. That pretty much says it all.

It's just a different skill set. like touring cars requires different skills to off-road. 2wd requires different skills to 4wd, fair enough, the difference may not be as large as TC to off-road, but it still applies.
It is not an easy job to get the best out of a 2wd. Only the people not worth listening too will say any different as fact.

That was me a few weeks back when I said it was nice to see more entries for the 4wd "expert" class, then there was for the 2wd "beginner" class

Dudes I don't mean anything by it, I remember it was just stuff like we didn't always get top 2wd trophies at meetings and we used to lose alot of peole to 4wd. So those of us who wanted to stick with our 2wds wanted seperate classes to keep the class alive at the club, plus Jim swithching to 2wd had alot to do with things becoming more 2wd friendly in terms of insentives to continue racing the class. Which really did nearly die at the end of the 2nd season:(
So i'm just saying why we shouldn't mix the classes again for club champs, because its by nature 4wd bias and its the 2wd that suffers. When really we are Dons!
But we should mix the classes for a laugh sometimes cos its fun.

That is the biggest problem with mixing the classes. Finishing 3rd consistently out of the 2WD's in a heat is ok, but if it's last overall, it's very hard to tell yourself any different, and the want to buy a 4WD becomes even stronger. (That's how it would be for me at least.)
If they were at least 10 booking in for each class, there wouldn't be this discussion. The problem with 4WD is that we barely get the 6 turnout. 10 mixes it up a treat and gets a more even spread.
I agree with Zipper in that it's better for the 4WD's if it's mixed up. But it must be considered what is the greater good. Preserving the 2WD is more important I feel as it comes down to a better, introductory class. (Cost/maintenance )
