JUNE 1: CLUB CHAMPS ROUND 6

What happened to your post Lee? -I thought it quite amusing Laughing

Anyway, another grand days racing....and no rain!
In 2wd Juddy 'came alive' after a bad start and topped the points chart -well done Juds-, and but for a malfunction I'm sure would have gone on to win the "A"....next time buddy!
Ben C is still keeping up a good Round average, and's looking well placed for this year's title having 2 rounds in hand; and Matt too is still holding in there....will he be tempted to swap his B4 for an X6?.
Having known how good Steve B was 'back-in-the-day', and having seen his debut with us yesterday, it won't be long before he's up there in the "A" -the ol' Losi XX is still a good car in good hands!
In 4wd Andy E was his superlative self, and that D4 looks better each time it appears on the track- well done AE!
John made a great recovery after a shaky start to top the points chart and's very much on target for his second 4wd title on the trot - a feat only achieved once before by 'The Master' Stu Welham in 89-90 (I'll get him racing afore long!).
My driver's of the day, however, were Alex and Kev. Alex was much more controlled and Kev, too, drove particularly well with the Yok- his 6 points seemed little reward and didn't reflect his performance. Well done to you both. A final thank you to Ben 'what-comes-after-6' H., and Lee 'how-much-worse-can-my-luck-get' F., for helping with the lap counting.
There, I think that's enough rambling. Roll on Round 7!

I posted last night on Zippers thread, for it to error message?

So here goes again.

I really enjoyed yesterday. Was full of banter and plenty of laughs which made for a great days racing.

I childishly sulked at the end of the final, but with hindsight and a few minutes being grumpy I realised I wasn't upset for Phil accidently tapping the back of my car. I was upset that the slightest of delays was followed by some of my quickest driving and I still couldn't get anywhere near you guys. The crushing of delusional thoughts is a painful moment!  Laughing If it wasn't for the fact that Alex was brutally attacked by the track piping I wouldn't have snuck into fourth.  AndyE was silly quick, Mach 3 JohnM in second, Phil's steroid pumped car in 3rd with a great drive.

Unlucky to Zipper. (Mortality reaches the heavens) Laughing

Quick mention to Juddy - Some incredible and untouchable driving! Brilliant!

Looking forward to the next meeting already! Wink  Very Happy

Full of banter it was and even though I wasn't racing I had a good day!

My Durga yesterday was quite simply the worst car I have ever driven in my life... and I'm not sure why?  As soon as I even touched the steering the back end would simply hook round and I'd be facing in the opposite direction.  Taking some advise from Andy E, I cut off the two outer rows of the front tyres.. but still undrivable.  I just don't know what has happened to it, it went so well a few weeks ago!  oh... and then it broke!

Everyone was looking so quick yesterday.... I now have lots of work to get myself back in the running for a trophy!   Twisted Evil

Ah yes, I should have mentioned Phil!
He just gets better and quicker each time he races, and was most worthy of his third in the 4wd "A" -good onya Phil!!

Sorry to all the 2WD's up to and including race 6. You were all cut one lap. I thought the last box on the sheet was a result box not a lap box...oooops  Embarassed

All those who would like to retrieve that lost lap can add it to there next heats........didn't think so! Laughing
ben

Really enjoyed yesterday, the 2wd races were as close & exciting as ever - it's gonna be a battle right down to the wire.

Juddy was flying by the end of the heats - his A final curse has gotta end soon.

The new guys in 2wd weren't far off the pace - in a few months they could really be a threat (I think Jim has found that out already!)

Thanks to Ben H & Juddy for lending me the tyres & wheels - I'll get them back to their owners as soon as I can get them apart - was it Gas Mark 6 for 20 minutes Wink
Juddy

Great meeting yesterday, its great to see all these new faces, and the standard is getting better all the time.

Keep the wheels Ben!
John Myall

Really good meeting, even though I still can't get the monkey off my back, and beat Andy this year, getting closer though, reckon he isn't using his death ray on me anymore!

Shame poor old Juddy had problems in the A, seems Jim is untouchable in 2wd A finals this year Confused maybe it'll change if/when Matt gets himself a X-6, seemed to like mine yesterday Smile

Roll on the next one Smile
SteveT

Not one of my best meetings so with 19 points it was damage limitation.
Felt terrible most of the day but was glad I came.
Highly impressed with Ben H, Phil, Alex and Spike for their standard of driving but felt bad for Lee who would have been a threat if the Durga had stayed whole.
Ben made my day with his joke about Lee but I'll let him tell it

Hi all, great day with a good place in the B final for me only to drop down and come last.
Thanx for all the comments , will take on board and stick with the B44 unless John M can work his magic on the Yokomo.
Hope to make the meetings more often over the next couple of months.
See you all soon or at Costal this Sunday.
Paul.

Hi guys,
Bit of a delay i know, but it's the 1st oppertunity I have had to get online since Sunday!

I had a really great day on sunday, I am enjoying my racing more than ever now  Smile

Thanks to all for making it such a nice place to race at, though Jim may not agree with me after all the pleading he had to do to get people on the track! lol

This weeks track was really nice too, it seemed to avoid almost all of the nasty bumps of the previous layouts and made for a much more consistent feeling from the car.  I guess it makes all your efforts of the previous week worth while jim  Smile

Hope to see you guys again soon

Andy
