It gets worse...The oven method killed the Yokomo wheels so I thought I'd try Acetone.
Left the wheel in a pot of Boots Nail Varnish Remover overnight & the result: Bubble Gum wheels!

Nail varnish remover's main ingredient is Acetone - must mean there is something even more nasty in there 
Either that or the old (MR4-TC) Yokomo wheeels are literally made of cheese
As Andy noticed, the container (a coleslaw pot) was completely intact 
Next time, I'll just buy some new ones

I almost shate myself looking at your pics - literally, I've had the "The Lurgy" for a few days and I did actually shate myself today - Twice! You should have put a health warning on those pics dude!
