F3,4,5 Finals.Firstly I will not pretend that I had not rented a couple of grapevine transmission stations direct from LBC to give me the update on Colesie, Zipper and SteveC. Zipper because mathmatically he could still beat me, although he blew it yesterday. But with just 4 points seperating Colesie, Steve and myself and only one club champs left for me, I know it's going to be tight for 3rd and with Colesie and SteveC's recent switch to 4WD, a very tall order.
Anyway, the F3,4,5's were very good. Really nice track well organised and good fun. Especially pitting next to Paul and Dan!
At the end, they add up the "Regions" scores. Out of 9 places, Wales in 9th, East of England 8th. But we had only 4 drivers there. Paul, Dan, Ian Ephraim and me.
I believe they add the 3 best scores from F3, F4 and F5 and that's the regions total.
4WD,
F5, Easty, Colesie, Zipper, SteveC, SteveB
F4, BenH, Phil J (if you drop one from this year), George (I think)
F3, Chester, John Myall, ?
Junior - Dan
2WD
Colesie, Juddy, George, Spike, Simon Watson - Unless he's F2 again. Paul,
Junior - Dan
(I have only put down those that I have a rough idea on. Know different, copy and paste it in )
That would be quite a team and I am sure some bloody good results would come from it, not to mention it will be a good laugh.
If you don't have an F license like Easty, the clubs boss (if BRCA affiliated) - Jim - has the authority to give an F5 license to anyone he deems as "competent". So if Easty get's one Keiran should too.
Would be great to get a bunch going to the next one. Maybe shock a few with the results! Might do the region a bit of good too

I think Easty is already a F5, you start out as one as soon as you get your BRCA licence, there used to be only F1, F2, F3 and F4s, but when the Regionals were stronger, 120 or so peeps at every meeting, there were people who did them for years, and never got above a F4, as the groups were so big, so they added the F5, so you could go up a little.
Not sure what I'll be next year, won't be a F2 anymore I do know, just don't know if that means I'll be F3, if you only drop one grade, like you would if you didn't go to any Regionals this year. Or if I'll be a F4, which is the grade I "won" this year, anyway, I'll be up to do the meet next year, had a good time the year I did go, if only I knew then, what I know now, might have done better

By the way, there were some juniors there - under 13's. So if anyone wanted/ needs to take the littluns they can. There are trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for them too.
Dan Newman - 3rd in the juniors yesterday.

What can i say??
Not much as Ben has pointed out most of the days events but it was very lonley on the saturday as we did not see Ian untill late on.
If we can get an idea on numbers that want to do regionals ( maybe another region ? ) or those who want to run the national series / end of year finals then i would be happy to provide massive covered pitting area, power supply , benches, ect, so we could all pit together ( not sure if thats a good or bad thing though)
Let me know your thoughts?
Well done that boy... Dan.... Made me very proud and he has a big smile too and i am sure you will all get to see the spoils this sunday.
Next year's goals,
Wiggles = learn to drive, stop taking the piss ! well not too much and help Kieran settle down on the track..
Dan = New car and lots more track time as he is setting his sights on more improvement .
Hope to see as many drivers this SUNDAY as poss..
Wiggles.
