Carnage and chaos subsided for one race to give me a very unexpected win. I was very very happy.
Everything else, the E-Clips, the straight launch on to SteveB's car, the 4 meeting old motor rotor destruction and resulting T-Bone from an unavoidable Mr East, the broken shock tower etc have all been forgotten.
A big thank you to Mr Jeffries who lent me his CAT for a 3rd place finish in the final

Same here, Mr J saved my bacon... very much appreciated indeedy!
Also a HUGE thanks to Jim for all the help over this weekend, again, very much appreciated, and not only did it help me this weekend, it will help me all year long too.
BenH, thanks for the loan of your 2nd pack of IP's, and also for organising a pack for me.
Wiggles... The jumps are very good indeed, they are a real feature of the circuit, and not at all an obstacle, something to look forward to in the lap rather than something to dread. Perfect balance. Thank you very much for making them, they will certainly help the clubs drivers improve their skills.
All in all, a bloody good weekend of RC action for me, I have been waiting for 5 months to get my racing fix, the itchy thumbs are no more, and only 1 week to wait for my next fix... roll on the SEN!
See you all next week chaps, and chapessess

'twas a good day, much better then I thought it would be after Friday's little test was for me
Started off a bit dodgy for me, car didn't feel good at all, suppose thats what happens when you change too many things at once, but after it was back to how it should be, well it flew in the last qualy heat to take FTD
The new cells are very good, car is now so fast, I think it'll take some time for my old brain to catch up to it
Jim, for your records, (I know you love such things ) I ran the Yokomo in races 2,3,4 and 5, only raced the Horn in races 1,6 and the final. _________________ Light a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day, but light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. |

Sounds like fun guys, wish i was there but i fell and hurt my arm which is still very sore now.
Cant wait to give the ramps a go so i may get down this week for a run but cant stay and race for the day as i just have too much going on
Wall of death and some small humps under construction to stop you all getting too used to the track
Hope to catch up soon.

Paul, please save the cash and ditch the wall of death idea. It should be an off-road track , not an obstable course.
A small set of tripple jumps would be a nice feature though. They need to be able to be jumped in 1, so that the drivers have a choice of whether to go for it or not... that will help build up the skills and the confidence in the drivers.
Please don't make a wall of death, the tripples would be enough.
Andy
