Just to say 'Thanks' for a very enjoyable days racing yesterday. The new jumps (first time I have experienced such things!) and the track layout were great. Even the weather behaved itself.
My special thanks to Steve C for lending me his spare car, once I'd got used to it the car performed extremely well, so don't sell it Steve!!
See you at round 1 of SEN - if I have managed to replace the ESC by then.

I take back all I said about my car - it's rubbish.  It handles like a bag of bolts and I dislike it.  (The previous was said in the tone of child-like petulance!  Laughing )

In reality, I didn't have the parts or spares to put my plans into action, ended up with half a job, cells that don't fit and a weight change in every race buggering up any form of consistency.  So to conclude, the car is still great, but the owner is a twonk.   Laughing  He will learn soon.  Rolling Eyes

Weather was great, the 2WD was great and once again I think it could prove to be the class of the year.  I honestly thought Juddy had a brain explosion early on and that was him done for the day.  But came on strong, with a good points finish and correct me if I am wrong, but I think he stormed the Final.  Well done squire.

It's quite amazing how expectations being crushed are the hardest things to swallow.  Mr Myall's toys left the pram fairly early on.  I would have thrown toys if I had actually had the foresight and preperatation to put them in the pram beforehand.   Poor ol' Zip had another Electrical-issue-day and deserved more.  BenC kept me busy after he's day spiralled, launching his car in frustration into the stratosphere.  George should have thrown a fit after his car decided to fall apart again.  I look forward to the day that thing completes a whole meeting. Shocked  Laughing

However, on the positive side, the track was a great track, the jumps worked very well, the table top was excellent. After 10 laps was taking 6 and half minutes to complete, it was dropped to 8 Shocked

Mr Baker had a great showing and deserved more points out of the meeting, both him and John gifted me a bunch of points with problems.  Thank you. Surprised  Wink

But now the dust has settled from the first meeting, all those expectations have been firmly re-aligned into a more realistic place, I very much look forward to the next Club Champs. Very Happy

Once last thing to take from the day, was the dedication as expressed here: -

Is this the Marshall's Organisation and Awareness Network.  I am having problems concentrating, when Marshalling, is there anything you can recommend. Laughing

This is true, but I did pick them back up again pretty quickly Wink

It was a good day, shame about it being Mother's Day, maybe more peeps will come this week.

SteveB, quick as always, car looked good to.

2wd was as awesome to watch as it was at the start of last year, will see if it stays that way all year, should be good if it does.

Ben, put the car back as it was, it was good, before you started to fiddle with it Wink

I can't.  I don't have enough cells to keep it as it was.   (I have 1 pack) See previous BRCA LiPo rant.

I have to change the weights so I can get cells to fit so I can do a whole meeting without thinking 'I am going to have to miss a heat'.  Also, the back end was a problem in the straight and bumpy sections. It had 5 degree of toe in.  I must change this, it's too much. I had a choice, 1 degree or 5 degree until the new parts arrive.  Also, the nose dives and digs into the ground on the bigger bumps and jumps - EVEN if you lift the nose on landing through acceleration. This is why I had to hit the down ramps perfectly.  But I challenge anyone in a race condition to do that every lap, knowing that you can't body slap with an overshoot underpressure or when to avoid collisions as your car, no matter what you do, will dig in flip or roll.   I need to put some spacers in, but didn't have any and made the best adjustments I could.   (This is the cause of the back overtaking the front at Coastal and on landings.)

The slipper issue and the diff issue have all impeded on top of the above.

Yes the car was good - relatively.  And soon, when I get the parts I need, it will be back again.  Hopefully, by this weekend.

I don't want to drive round a cars problems, it's tiring.  I just want to be able to drive.  I long for the car and a set up that allows it.  This car in it's current and previous states will not allow it.

Don't get me wrong, it's better than my last car. But it's still no match winner................   Yet.

Hi all, gutted i missed it but will be back with you this week to make up the 4WD numbers.

Benh i think john is right mate the yok was set up to win when you got it mate ?

As it was i turned in some super quick laps at the costal regional just to be held back by heat issues, so mate just try and go back to the starting point with the car and i think you will get on fine with it.(also spare lipo's if you need them this week as per the telecon)

My problem with the yok was my driving not the car Embarassed  Crying or Very sad  Shocked  Mad

See ya all sunday peeps and glad the ramps worked out better this time.

W..

But this is because you changed things, for example, your running green front springs, its supposed to have blues on it, that would stop the front digging in for a start.

Nope Wink

Off the top of my head, Losi front springs go, from hard to soft; Black, Blue, Green, Sliver, Orange, then Red.

As for it having lots of rear toe-in, did you not think it was supposed to be like that? Needs something to tame the beast that is the front end turn-in Wink  Laughing

I thought i was going to have a mare too! but a few slipper adjustments and all was much better!

The standard in 2wd is strong as ever, steve showed what he can really do!
It was my first A final win, and i'll have to be on my game to get another!

I have to miss this week, but can't wait to race every one again soon!
