Diffs - coming lose?

Do any of you have problems with diff's coming lose?

The rear diff in the Tamiya seems to have a habit of working itself lose. I have tried replacing the screw & diff nut, but still it seems to work itself lose.

Do any of you threadlock your diff bolt?

I know that Stu had a lot of problems wit that in the old pred last year, whats the thrust race like? It did it to me years ago, the thuust race was a bit dogged and kept undoing the bolt.

Assemble as to drg, you can use screwlock on the nut, or after adjustment is completed a drop of superglue onto the nut, (as recommended by richard weatherly for the pred)

Make sure that the end of the diff screw is completly free from lube and apply threadlock to the inside of the nut. I find if you apply threadlock it to the bolt it can get cleaned off the thread when it enters the nut. Run threadlock through the nut (don't be afraid to waste some) and then assemble. Also, adjust it quickly before the threadlock sets and NEVER alter it! If it needs adjusting then I usually rebuild the diff.

I used to use super glue after assembly but found it caused more problems than it solved.
